It started with a favour
Back in 2012, we were the ones our mates called when their laptops crashed, their Wi-Fi died, or their dissertations vanished. What began as helping fellow university students with their tech quickly turned into something bigger.
Word spread. Local businesses started asking for help too. Before long, what started as a side hustle from a student bedroom became Nerdster — a fully-fledged IT services company supporting SMEs across the UK.
For over a decade, we grew alongside our clients, earning their trust by solving problems others overcomplicated.
When AI transformed the technology landscape, we didn't chase the hype. We asked a simple question: how do we make this actually useful for the businesses we serve?
In 2026, that question led us to build Nerdster Vault — a private, on-premises AI platform for firms that will never compromise on data security.
Today, Nerdster.ai helps UK professional services firms harness AI that delivers real results whilst keeping their data exactly where it belongs — with them.

Founded Nerdster in 2012. Fourteen years building secure IT and cybersecurity for UK SMEs, including law firms, accountants and financial services firms. Now advising boards and partners on practical AI adoption, governance, and private deployments. Cyber Essentials certified, Anthropic and OpenAI implementation experience.
